As we head into 2013, it is important to pause and look back at 2012. It was a year of growth and accomplishment at MicroPact. We celebrated the company’s 15th anniversary, added nearly 50 employees and achieved a number of significant operational milestones. As part of our retrospective we’d like to share with you a multi-part series of interviews with the leaders of MicroPact. They’ll share with us their accomplishments in 2012, and their goals for the new year, as well as the obligatory New Year’s resolution both personal and corporate.

You joined MicroPact in 2012 to expand the company’s partner program and channel distribution strategy. What early accomplishments can your report?

There is a lot of exciting progress to report on many fronts. In 2012, we expanded the team focused on strategic alliances with the addition of Strategic Partner Manager, Jim Clifford and Partner Manager Joanna Williamson. Both Jim and Joanna bring significant experience and expertise in new verticals that will help us continue to grow the footprint of the program.

In 2012, we welcomed a number of very strategic new partners to the Partner Program, including ASM Research and IntelliDyne.  We will have more major new alliances to announce early in 2013.

We also completed and the launched the re-design of our Partner Portal.  The new system provides a greatly enhanced resource to our partner community, giving them direct access to a wealth of marketing and technical assets that assist them in recommending MicroPact products.

In general, things are going really well.  More and more companies are recognizing the fact that working with MicroPact, and leveraging the entellitrak platform gives them a competitive edge.  Our partners enhance our capabilities and help us reach new customers and new markets.

Of the strategic alliances formed in 2012, which show the most promise in 2013?

We’re working on a large number of really excellent opportunities across our entire network of partners, I truly could not single out any one partner as “the most promising”.  Historically, MicroPact has been highly focused on solutions for the federal government.  What I’m most excited about in 2013 is the success are partners are having introducing the entellitrak platform to the private sector, particularly in verticals like healthcare, transportation and education.

What types of partners is MicroPact seeking in 2013? What are the critical capabilities that best complement MicroPact’s technology?

MicroPact seeks to partner with best-in-class organizations that specify, recommend or implement business process management and case management solutions.  We work with system integrators, consultants, value-added resellers and others.  There are two specific areas of focus in 2013.  We want to partner with firms who can leverage our proven-track record of providing solutions to the federal government.  Our entellitrak platform has been deployed at more than 200 federal agencies and we have prime contracts with every cabinet level agency.  We are always looking to expand our reach into the federal government. We are also very actively seeking to partner with firms that will help us broaden our reach in the commercial sector.  We highly value partners with special expertise in vertical markets such as healthcare, transportation and education.  Coupling our products and technologies with the subject matter expertise and industry specific experience of our partners is a proven formula for success.

Do you have a New Year’s resolution to share?

My 2013 resolution is to lose 25 pounds. BTW, that has been my New Year’s resolution for the last 3 years.
